Ultra.Fail Rules and Code Of Conduct

Experienced players, that have spent time on any vanilla server in Rust, know aggressive behavior is a part of normal gameplay. New players are sure to find this out quickly. There is, however, a difference between “aggressive” behavior and “toxic” behavior. Toxic behavior is when someone’s actions start negatively impacting the entire community and server (both in-game and Discord). Aggressive behavior is expected, toxic behavior will not be tolerated and violators will be removed from the community. 

No one wants to have rules in a lawless game, and we do not want to tell you how to enjoy yourself. However, if you choose to spend your time in this community you will be expected to abide by some simple guidelines. 

First and foremost, do not be a dick. You should know at this point in life what that entails but if you need clarification please reach out to us. 

Hacking, use of cheats, scripts and any form of ban evasion (banned players using ALT accounts, etc.) will result in an immediate and permanent ban. Knowingly associating with or enabling cheaters/ban evaders will result in a similar punishment.

Any member involved in the administration or moderation of Ultra.Fail’s server(s) will be held to the highest standard and abuse of their position in any form will not be tolerated. Kilerdar is the only member allowed to abuse his admin powers even though he has none.

Remember the “Golden Rule”? Treat your fellow players the way you wish to be treated. Unless you're just a masochist… In which case please refer back to “don’t be a dick”.

“Eh, It’s Rust” is only a viable excuse if you are the person close enough to the equipment running the server to turn it off.

Griefing, aggressively and repeatedly attacking a player outside of normal combat engagement, or rallying players from outside of the current session to target a player will not be tolerated. While not a rule, try to engage with other players in-game by scheduling a counter to a monument if you see the notification or returning some items if they get killed, it makes the game a lot more fun and means you’ll probably get grubbed less.

Griefing player bases or players in such a way as to impede them from defending or re-taking their base is not acceptable behavior. Once you have reached and/or destroyed TC and looted some things is there really any reason to continue to attack? 

Public chat (including voice and text both in-game and Discord) is not a platform for you to argue. If you want to fight on the internet, do it in DM’s or on Reddit like a normal person. Chat (all forms) is also not to be used to convey language that will offend. If you’re not sure if what you’re about to say is offensive, it is. Facepunch has a lot of rules in place as well against being homophobic and racist in-game and could result in a game ban if reported.

There are tens of thousands of servers you can play on. If you choose to play on Ultra.fail’s servers please remember that it is not just your game you are playing, it is all of ours. We would like to see the server(s) continue to grow and evolve and engagement to continue to expand in a good direction. New and old players on the server are important and more members available to help our community become the best it can.

Lastly, Doodifer is a weirdo and can not be controlled. We do apologize for any trauma they will definitely cause.

TLDR: 

• Don't be a dick. Act like everyone is judging you because we are.

• Cheating and Scripting is not tolerated

• If your actions negatively impact the server/community as a whole you will be banned

• Some Shit-talk is expected, no aggressive or toxic fighting in Discord or Global Chat you will be muted

• Getting lightly trolled means you’re part of the regular crew! Congrats! Usually this just involves signs, cutting trees, filling inventory, etc.. Griefing that impacts someone’s ability to play is not a good idea.

• We have a main admin and two other silent moderators, so just say something if you have questions.

Although not a rule, it's way better to ask to be countered or ask for an online raid and avoid offline raids, it does make the game more interesting being able to have time to plan to counter or defend and overall creates a fun environment overall and makes the game less toxic, try it out!
